Hemming technology

Roller hemming, which is also known as robot hemming, roller flanging or robot flanging, was first used in BIW at the beginning of the 1980s and is one of the most frequently used hemming processes today in the automotive industry. Positive characteristics of this joining process are low tool costs, the avoidance of sharp edges on components and the avoidance of heat input in the material.

With the flexible EBZ roller hemming head, the EBZ sunroof hemming head and the EBZ hemming roller cleaning device, EBZ provides a broad portfolio and, simultaneously, years of experience in the area of roller hemming technology.
